Tornado Relief Resources

 

There are many resources and groups working to help rebuild St. Louis after the tornado.  We’ve compiled a list of updated information – some of the shelters that are open, relief forms, and other resources – that we’ve found.  If you or someone you know has been hit, check out the St.Louis-MO GOV website for updates on existing resources and ways to help.

 

1. Starting Soon: Disaster Assistance Center

EVENT

The City of St. Louis is holding a Disaster Assistance Center to connect people to resources and be answer questions.  Go to the Chaifetz Arena on the dates listed below.  You can reserve an appointment online.  Each appointment ranges from  1-1.5 hours.

Location: Chaifetz Arena

Time: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Dates:  June 23-26

How to get there: Uber is providing free rides, up to $50 each way, to and from the Disaster Assistance Center. Use promo code STLRELIEF2025 in the Uber app. More information here.

2. Request Property Damage Assistance

You can request help with things like roof tarping, board-ups, electrical work, debris removal, tree services, compassionate demolition, or other services by visiting the St. Louis-MO GOV website and finding the form or clicking here.

3. FEMA

4. Storage  

PROPERTY RESOURCE

U-haul is offering 30 days of free storage.  Check it out here or go onto the St. Louis-MO GOV website.

5. Disaster Distress Helpline 

MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCE

Crisis counseling is available for disasters like these.  Call the Disaster Distress Helpline or visit this page to talk with someone.

6.  Shelters
